Secret report on India-China war in 1962 made public

CHENNAI: A section of the confidential Henderson Brooks report that critically reviewed India’s defence preparedness and strategies during the 1962 war with China has been released online by Australian journalist Neville Maxwell.

While the report may not contain significantly new revelations about the poor state of India’s forces during the war, it discusses “how the Army was ordered to challenge the Chinese military to a conflict it could only lose,” according to Maxwell, a retired foreign correspondent who was based in Delhi at the time of the war. MUCH MORE IMPORTANT FOR INDIANS

Can you explain this?

This young soldier has been terribly injured and as you can see he is blind !

No one has been able to explain to me why young men and women serve in the British Military for 20 years, risking their lives protecting freedom, and only get 50% of their pay on retirement, while Politicians hold their political positions in the safe confines of the capital, protected by these same men and women, and receive full-pay retirement after serving one term.
This is the same in Canada, the US and Australia. Continue reading MUCH MORE IMPORTANT FOR INDIANS

I NEVER KNEW THIS ABOUT JAPAN NATION

1 – Did you know that Japanese children clean their schools every day for a quarter of an hour with teachers which has led to the emergence of a Japanese generation who is modest and keen on cleanliness.

2 – Any Japanese citizen who has a dog must carry a special bags to pick up dog droppings. Hygiene and their eagerness to address cleanliness is part of Japanese ethics.

3 – Hygiene worker in Japan is called “health engineer” and can command salary of USD 5000 to 8000 per month, and a cleaner is subjected to written and oral tests!!

4 – Japan does not have any natural resources, and they are exposed to hundreds of earthquakes a year, but it did not prevent her from becoming the second largest economy in the world.

5 – Hiroshima returned to what it was, economically vibrant before the fall of the atomic bomb in just ten years.

6 – Japan prevents the use of mobiles in trains and restaurants.

7 – In Japan , students from the first to sixth primary years must learn ethicsin dealing with people.

8 – The Japanese, even though they are one of the richest people in the world, do not have servants and the parents are responsible for the house and children.

9 – There is no examination from the first to the third primary level; because the goal of education is to instill concepts and character building, not just examination and indoctrination.

10 – If you go to a buffet restaurant in Japan you will notice people only eat as much as they need without any waste. No wasting food.

11 – The rate of delayed trains in Japan is about 7 seconds per year!!
They appreciate the value of time, very punctual to minutes and seconds

12 – Children brush their teeth after a meal at school; They maintain their health from an early age.

13 – Students take half an hour to finish their meals to ensure right digestion. When asked about this concern, they said: These students are the future of Japan

The Japanese might have lost the war, but look what they have done for their own Country.

There are no bombs going off in crowded business-centers.
Or “”Honor Killings””.
If one is doing the wrong thing towards the community, he commits himself to finish his OWN life.

That is “Honor Killing”!!!!!!

Not killing OTHER innocent children, people.

An initiative to plant Nisi (Tusli) in every house – Deendayal Dham, Mathura

Deendayal Dham, Mathura – An initiative to plant Nisi (Tusli) in every house

There is a 300-year old banyan tree at Deendayal Dham. One very old pond is also there. The rainwater is stored in this pond. This is the reason that the ground water around this pond is potable. It is important because all the water sources here are salty and are not fit for drinking. Thousands of villagers collect drinking water from here every day. Sometimes this pond is recharged with canal water so that there is no shortage of drinking water in the area.

There is also a small pond which is used for animals and washing clothes.

In the east of Deendayal Dham, the Govardhan nallah flows. It has sufficient water during the rainy season, but this whole water directly flows into the Yamuna without any use. During the summer, some water is also released in this nallah from the Agra canal for irrigation.

There is a water technology centre at outfall of this nallah. Effort is on to build a check-dam at the outfall with the help of the Indian Institute of Agriculture Research, Pusa, New Delhi and the District Administration, Mathura.

There is a hostel and workers’ residential complex in the premises of Deendayal Dham. Work is going on to reuse the waste water produced here for irrigation after treating it. An amla garden was developed on a two acre plot in Deendayal Dham during the year 1997. It was a good initiative for environmental protection.

During the year 2007 plants of about 5,000 shade-giving trees were planted which are growing perfectly. About 8,000 more saplings were planted in the year 2009. Now work is going on to plant at least one Tusli in every house in and around the villagesof Deendayal Dham.

Neither ‘Maiti’ nor Mayang’ – WE ALL ARE INDIANS

MANIPUR

Many healthy trends have been witnessed in north-east region through the Arogya Mitra scheme.

They are proving to be a key player in changing the mentality of the people. There is an incident of Manipur. The local people there call themselves ‘Maiti’. Those who have settled there from other parts of the country are called ‘Mayang’.

Sometime back a campaign was launched in the state to force the Mayangs to leave the state. Since this word was used as an abuse, it created a gulf between the Manipuri and non-Manipuri people.

This mentality was dangerous for the national feeling. Therefore, it disturbed all the nationalists. The Sangh also has very good work in Manipur. There are thousands of trained workers all over the state. The swayamsevaks educated the people about the disastrous consequences of Mayang word.

Ultimately the people stopped using this word and now the opposition of non-Manipuri people has reduced to a great extent. It is a big achievement on the part of the swayamsevaks. This also shows how positive change can be brought about in the society.

AROGYA MITRA SCHEME-A commitment for HEALTHY NATION

AROGYA MITRA SCHEME

There are more than 50 workers in Assam alone who have come through the Arogya Mitra scheme. They move in the entire region in the form of Arogya Mitras, without any difficult or security threat. By and large a good network can be created through such workers. They work free of cost for the development of their villages. swayamsevaks could not reach there so far.

These people not only ensure good health for the local people, but also promote nationalist feelings among the people. There are some areas where there was no Sangh shakha, but after the work of Arogya Mitras, there too the Sangh shakhas began and now a good band of dedicated workers is active in the nation-building activities. By and large whatever the nationalist atmosphere one could see in Assam region today, can be credited largely to these Arogya Mitras. When we talk about modern development in medical field, we normally mean lakhs of doctors for crores of patients. The ultimate objective of all the national and international medical organisations too is the same. But the prime question is whether we can ensure health for all by ensuring good number of doctors for a certain percentage of people.

The modern health system can keep some organs of the body fit to some extent, but it cannot keep us mentally and intellectually sound. We also pray for param vaibhav in our daily shakha. Can we achieve this objective by closing our eyes? Have we thought about the condition of our agriculture, health, etc. when we achieve the param vaibhav? The Sangh is working since the year 1925 and the experience of these years is that if we achieve param vaibhav in the field of health, we have to ensure that every person is fit in all respects. When we talk about modern development in medical field, we normally mean lakhs of doctors for crores of patients. The ultimate objective of all the national and international medical organisations too is the same. But the prime question is whether we can ensure health for all by ensuring good number of doctors for a certain percentage of people.

Our scriptures say—dharmarthkammokshanam arogya moolam. It means the foundation ofdharma, artha, kaam and moksha is arogya (good health). People eat many things throughout the day, but majority of the people do not know what to eat, when to eat, how much to eat and how to eat. This is the reason majority of the people keep unwell. Even those who know these basics of health do not follow them in practical life. That is why they repeatedly fall sick. It was in order to bring forth this thing, the Arogya Bharati was formed in the year 2004. It organised the first national workshop ‘Niramaya-2006’ in Nagpur. Noted yoga guru Baba Ramdev and 1,500 other scholars from different medical fields attended the workshop. The ultimate objective of the Arogya Bharati is—healthy individual, healthy family, healthy society, healthy village and healthy nation.

In order to keep every individual fit, the Arogya Bharati started the Arogya Mitra project, which has shown miraculous results in north-eastern states. Apart from keeping the people physically fit, the Arogya Mitras have also strengthened the patriotic feelings among the people. Normally, it requires a trained doctor to prescribe medicines to a sick. But to educate people about healthy life style it does not require a medical degree holder.  Doctor’s advice is not necessary as to how to perform Suryanamaskars or other yoga exercises. A yoga practitioner can do it perfectly.

A doctor can only keep an individual physically fit. But our objective is to keep the individual fit from all aspects. Therefore, if we wish to keep India fit, we shall have to keep every individual living in rural areas fit. If the villages are fit, the entire nation will remain fit. This is the reason that the Arogya Bharati has focused on villages. We want to train at least two Arogya Mitras in every village to ensure good health for all. For it, training camps have been started all over the country. We normally teach 20 kinds of things related to aahar and vihar (eating and behaving) in these training camps.

We need to understand one more fact. Arogya Mitras are not for just propagating healthy lifestyle. They also work for national cause. We can reach anywhere in the remote and vulnerable areas with their help. Propagating healthy lifestyle can be a good topic for all the upkramasheel shakhas today. Not only the swayamsevaks visiting the shakha, but also the general public should be taught about the healthy lifestyle. The activities conducted for physical and intellectual growth of swayamsevaks should also include the activities of good eating and behaving habits Healthy lifestyle is needed for both urban and rural, posh colonies or Sewa Basti people. Therefore, we have decided to conduct training programmes on large scale. Healthy lifestyle is equally beneficial for all whether the Congress followers or the BJP, leftist, Hindu, Muslim or the followers of any other sect, way of life or the ideology. Arogya Mitra can be an effective medium to bring the people of many other ideologies into our fold. Nobody will oppose the work of promoting healthy lifestyle. We have witnessed in north-eastern region that many good and dedicated workers have been developed through the Arogya Mitra scheme. There are more than 50 workers in Assam alone who have come through the Arogya Mitra scheme. They move in the entire region in the form of Arogya Mitras, without any difficult or security threat. By and large a good network can be created through such workers. They work free of cost for the development of their villages.
God Bless You All!!!
